Now that John McCain is campaigning against Barry, who has always opposed the war in Iraq, the Republicans’ presumptive nominee has a new anti-war ad. He says, “Only a fool or a fraud talks romantically about war.”

Scott McClellan’s upcoming book, What Happened, is in the top spot at, four days before its official release. Early leaks and excerpts have had the White House in overdrive, trying to discredit McClellan’s harsh claims and the former news secretary himself. His critics have called him disgruntled, a turncoat and a sellout.

McClellan will be online tomorrow at noon at to discuss the book.

Republicans weren’t the only ones caught off-guard by the book. MSNBC reports, “Even some Democratic bureaucrats expressed surprise, saying that it is highly unusual for a former high-ranking staffer to turn on a president as McClellan has.”

An excerpt can be found here at NBC/MSNBC and Jonathan Yardley’s review of the book in The Washington Post is here.
